Easy to apply in one coat without any primer nor reinforcement bar, both on blocks and by overlapping, WINGRIP BITUMINOSO is an innovative WINKLER product addressed to the tiling market, that associates to high performances the best of the research on developed sustainability with the “WINKLER SAFE” project.

It waterproofs vertical and horizontal surfaces as balconies, showers and bathrooms, and makes any kind of support suitable for the rapid and clean tiling of floors and existing coverings.

This is WINKLER’S WINGRIP BITUMINOSO, the new product based on bitumen and high quality polymers, in water emulsion and special charges, arises from W-SAFE technology for products with low environmental impact and WINKLER’S labs constant research.

WINGRIP BITUMINOSO is ready to use and easy to apply in one hand without any primer by using brush, roller, large brush or airless spray gun. It makes a waterproofing layer and hard gripping surface both on concrete and floors or existing coverings. 

Once applied, WINGRIP BITUMINOSO makes an elastic layer between covering and support, which assures the perfect holding of the cementitious adhesive without using nets nor reinforcing bars or particular adhesives: in order to paste new coverings, an suitable adhesive is enough.

In case you use tile adhesive from WINKLER range, such products are fully covered by the insurance policy issued by “REALE MUTUA ASSICURAZIONI”. 

Quick hardening is another advantage of WINGRIP BITUMINOSO: after 7 hours from the application of the support and in suitable weather conditions (ideal application is between +5 and +40°C and avoid in imminence of rainy weather), it’s already possible to apply floors and coverings. 

Before applying WINGRIP BITUMINOSO you need to prepare the surface, which must be dry, clean and free from oils, greases and dust, non-stick substances or detached parts, and also free from hidden wet in order to avoid the creation of vapour pressures; for reinforcing and sealing of angles, we advise the application of BC SEAL BAND, Cold self adhesive band based on butyl mastic covered with non-woven, which assures perfect holding and collocation. 

Black colour of WINGRIP BITUMINOSO and its exceptional workability facilitate a perfect application without continuity solutions for every kind of material.

Available in 5,10 and 20 kgs pails, in horizontal WINGRIP BITUMINOSO has a consumption of 0,5 kgs/m² for overlaying on existing floors and 1kg/m² on cement blocks; in vertical its consumption is 0,4 kgs/m² for overlaying on existing floors and 0,8 kgs/m² on walls in general.
